I would like to have information about Bhagawad Gita chanting classes for kids in Hyderabad. Even though it is taught in schools, it does not happen on a regular basis. I came across details about Saptaparini in Banjara Hills, but would like to have reviews from parents like you..
My son is 7 yrs old and am planning to send him to such classes. Also, I was looking for programs like Bala Vihar that is conducted by Chinmaya mission. But they do no have it here in hyderabad .
Would be more than happy if any of you can help me finding out such institutes..
Check out in Liberty’s TTD temple’s office there i hve seen one notice over there regarding bhagwat gita classes. In Public Gardens Balabhavan also they are conduction all sorts of extra activities such as music, dance and heard they also started bhagawad gita classes.
Hope info helps u.

Hi Lucky Subbu,
It is a very good thought to expose children to our culture and enhance their spiritual side. You are a very good Mom!
ISKCON conducts classes on Sundays for children between the age of 5 and 12. Children are taught Bhagavad Gita Slokas, Moral Stories etc. Not just Slokas, they also teach Music, organise Quiz competitions, tell Stories and help enhance leadership qualities. These free classes begin in June and go on till February on Sunday mornings from 10.30 AM to 12 PM.
They also organise Summer Camps during the month of May for children. It is an eight-day camp and the fee is Rs. 250. In addition to the regular Bhajans and Slokas, students are taught Yoga and Meditation.
They have branches all over the city.
Hi lucky I hope u are from Bangalore right……..
Thats why you are asking for bala vihar and chinmaya mission…..
And coming to bhagawadgita classes….i teach bhagawadgita to my daughter as i learnt bhagawadgita and till now i didnt think of sending her to classes.
I vl teach her bhagawadgita, amarakosam, suprabhatam and some small small devotional songs…too…
u know she chants few lines of suryashtakam also
But its a good idea of thinking to send ur child to such classes….it improves childs concentration, memory power and their pronounciation too….
Go ahead …..
All the Best…..
Thats Good ranju, I dont know Bhagawadgita because i hvent learnt, and never read bofore also ra. When i saw this i felt very happy tat u hve learnt bhagawad gita. Its really a good habit which u made to ritu.
I bought CD’s of all slokas because i wanted Sampreeth to learn them by god’s grace he has also interest in those things. When i do pooja daily sampreeth listen’s all devotional chantings and he also does pooja after taking his bath. U know while doing pooja sampreeth chants – suklam baradaram, suprabath of Lord venkateshwara , lingashtakam etc.

Thats a good habit to inculcate in kids Ranju.
Pari learnt the hindi aarti ‘Om jai jagdish hare…" while doing pooja and she sings that and also few saibaba bhajans, krishna songs and durga mata bhajan lines. She likes Yashomati Maiya se…a lot.
Whenever I play suprabhatam at home in the mornings it gives a very good feeling.
Yes Poonam, Thats really good habit to inculcate such good habits in children….
Before we were taught these in our schools……..But now we dont find and rather than these activities they are more indulged in communication skills in children…….
So we have to do something for our children i think….
Oh good Sravani, u can also get vishnu sahasranamam and lalitha sahasranamam and play it……
As sampreeth is a boy teach him the Gayatri Mantra which is very powerful and only boys should chant this……
This is very goood for their future too……U know about sandhya vandanam is done by this gayatri mantra
yes ranju these days we are not finding these type of lessons in schools. Sampreeth know gayathri mantra and ya daily we will listen to vishnu sahasranamam and lalita sahasranama on friday’s. On every friday i do vaibhava laxmi vrath ra at tat time i will keep this.
We will have thread cermony na at that time poojari will chant tat gayathri manthra in ears.

First a belated warm wishes to all the loving mothers on this beautiful earth. Happy Mothers Day.
I am extremely sorry for the delay in response..was out of station for a few weeks..
Thank you wonderful moms for all the responses. I am planning to take my kid to ISCON as suggested by Poonam.
Ranjitha, we stay in Hyderabad and ya i do teach my kid slokas, keerthans and devotional songs at home. But having a teacher formalizes the teaching process and the atmosphere seems different when you are in a group. Thats the reason i opted for this. Thank you dear, for the suggestions.
The primary reason for looking at a teacher is that, I am working so after returning from home, most of my time goes into cooking, playing with him( he loves that time a lot..even me too 🙂 ) and homework and some extra reading like stories, puzzles , painting or such stuff.
Thanks again and a lot of love,
