I would go with Yoghurt as sour cream is made by artificial methods.

Yoghurt = Curd, Mostly flavored
Sour Cream = Regular cream but fermented, mildly sour
You use curd daily if you are in India and abroad it is called Yogurt 🙂
Sour Cream is used in some salad dressing, cakes and sandwich fillings.

what we call curd is called yogurt in india. It is not necessarily flavoured unless it says on the pack. I have used the store bought natural yogurt and used it to make yogurt (curd) at home.
Sour cream is like curd, but made from cream.
When you make raita add equal parts yogurt and sour cream and it is really yummy. Great for kids. You can also use the sour cream to make dips for chips etc for kids.
Thanks brb!!.. that was well explained
