I am not sure if diabetes is directly related to infertility….But I do know that diabetes causes lack of sexual interest…whether or not diabetes causes infertility is something which can be concluded only after a sperm count…what is TTC by the way?

Diabetes has no connection to fertility. My husband was diagnosed for diabetes 7 yrs ago when I was seven months pregnant. I have two sons which would have been three as I aborted the second one thinking handling two will be difficult. But after two months I was pregnant again with my second son. But diabetes should be under control. Have a sugar monitoring machine and regulary check with it. Take tablets as prescribed and visit the doc regularly.

Diabetes causes male infertility in three ways: Causes erectile dysfunction-by affecting the health of small blood vessels and lowering testosterone levels. Lowers sex drive-by lowering testosterone levels. Reduces ejaculate volume-by affecting the small nerves that control ejaculation and by lowering testosterone .
