hi, welcome to chennaimoms. I didnt follow any particular menu during pregnancy. Instead i didnt have anyone to guide me properly at that time. But you can take all types of food and avoid the junk foods, cooldrinks, etc. U can have dry fruits, groundnut burfi, dates ,etc. Burfi and Dry grapes is good for maintaining HB Level in our blood . If you can go to parrys side, u can find black colour dates with seeds, it will add strength to your body. Edho enakku therijadha sonnen, but pls. consult ur elder ones before following this.
Thank you so much. You mean the fresh dates??

U can have keerai, carrot juice, pomogranet juice, sweetlimejuiceand grape juice too.If posible eat fruits instead of making it as a juice.
Milk two time a day is must.
Kaupatti u can take.Egg can be taken thrice a week.
See that u take healthy food than packed, processed food.
Sheela’s advice is also great.
ALL THE BEST

eat dates everyday – 2 pieces (rich source of iron)
lots of fresh vegetables and fruits.. (apple and pomegranate gives lot of iron), eat jaggery too in any form
1 litre of milk per day… (rich source of calcium)
calcium and iron are very important for the baby’s bone and blood…and too maintain ur body’s calcium and iron levels as well
eat till u are satisfied.. not to the level of heaviness…
most of all… do mild walking and keep your mind cool…
Dear Amala and Suganthi, Thank you very much for your great support and guidance. Will surely follow this.

Quoting some of the things that i followed when i was pregnant.
Eat whatever you like but in moderation. When i was pregnant i ate whatever i felt like and never followed any chart. Just need to ensure that the spice levels are not too high to keep your BPand sugar levels in moderation.
If possible eat once in two hours. Need not be a meal, can be a fruit or a snack.
Used to walk for a while everyday.
Ensured that i had green leafy vegetables, tender coconuts almost every day. Please dont forget to drink enough water. Have 2 litres of water everyday.
Had lots of pomegranate, oranges, grapes and mangoes used to have them as fruits only and never as a juice.
I avoided most of the junk food, noodles, packaged food, aerated drinks etc., I always packed food from home and avoided having food outside.
There will be also some food which you may dislike during pregnancy. Dont force yourself what you cant withstand. Find an alternative source if it is an essential food. Adjust food according to your taste buds. Each one of us have our own experience.
Used to take milk with honey before sleep without fail. Never used to take much coffee or tea.
Used to listen to good music and read good books to avoid mood swings etc.,
If possible meditate. Helps in keeping your mind cool.
Dear Aks, Thanks a lot dear for your tips. Really they are very useful for me:)

Walking is very important during pregnancy. But dont walk too much i mean till u r exhausted (dont put a time limit for this). Walk until u feel comfortable. Eat wahtever u want. Have small meals frequently than full mea at a time. It can be anything not only rice. Fruits, salads, milk etc. Have pomogranate, oranges, dates, dry fruits. But avoid junk foods.
