I havent followed any viratham. But my mom does. For evey auspicious day she wdnt eat or drink anything till we do the pooja at home. For nonbhu (that comes the day after diwali), she wdnt eat or drink anything till the evening. Only aroun 6pm, she’ll go to the temple and do the pooja there. After they come home, then she’ll do another pooja at home and give nonbu kayiru to everyone at home and then only eat. So in the whole day, inspite of doing all sweets for nonbu and cooking for us, she wd not eat or drink even water till dinner time!

I avoid non-veg on saturday(for perumal), amavasai(for my hubby’s parents), karthigai(for murugan) and whole month of puratasi. This is my viratham
