i would like to tell about the receipe which i tasted recently ,my MIL made it in her nagercoil style .Most of us wouldnt have tasted ,vey few know about it and some are lazy to do this.but iam sure this receipe is yummy for everyone including children and easy for moms to do as u r going to use only a little part of the vegetable. No more guesses…..
its BANANASTEM RAITA OR VALATHANDHU PACHADI:
1.small part of banana stem
2.green chilli-1 or 2
6.mustard seeds-1 tsp
Initially cut banana stem and add salt and boil in small amount of water and keep it aside.
then grind coconut,green chilliand seragam .
now season in a small vessel ,mustard seeds,karuvaipillai ,small onion ,add the steamed banana stem and coconut grinded mixture and little salt if needed.mix everything in low flame for 3 min .
keep everything to cool and now add the fresh curd.
now the delicious valathandu pachadi is ready.even the kids love eeating unless u take the fibre clean as it is a small part only we r going to use it.and its good for health too.
