Half-Girlfriend, the new Hindi flick trailer is on and the audience is already not interested with the Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor love duo. Bollywood needs to get over these chick-love stories and make some realistic movies for the audience to increase adrenaline rush.
Here, the plot of the trailer starts with the introduction of Madhav (Arjun Kapoor) giving an interview in the University where he reveals that he doesn’t know to speak English. He joins the college and falls in love with the sophisticated Delhi girl, Riya (Shraddha Kapoor). They get along and Madhav asks Riya about their relationship and she says “I will be your Half-Girlfriend”. There itself she symbolically means that he is friend zoned. Madhav doesn’t get it because he falls in the category of “Love is Blind”. Riya later settles in the US and becomes a Pop star and Madhav leaves to the US in search of Riya to change the status from being “Half-Girlfriend” to “Full-Girlfriend”. No wonder the movie is as disastrous as the book is.
The spoiler is out and please do not fall asleep by looking at the trailer:
The movie has a very cliched script and has a predictable climax which any audience wouldn’t mind to miss such movie. Mohit Suri, high time to get out of such kuchi-kuchi-koo stories and get some practical love stories.
Looking forward to a twist and surprise in the movie, if it is all as depicted in the trailer then the movie would end up being an unimaginative mediocrity.
