These summer months are best known as the season of fruits. In India, this is the season of grapes, watermelons, muskmelons, litchis and notably, mango. Known for its sweet flavour and soft, pulpy texture, mangoes are a part of several cuisines across the world, especially India. According to the USDA, a 100 g serving of mango has an energy value of 60 kcal. Fresh mango also contains a range of vitamins and minerals. They are full of vitamin A and G, which is known to contain antioxidants that help prevent cancer. In addition, mangoes also possess collagen that makes your skin smooth and reduces premature aging.

In fact, mango is so good for your skin that it is an active ingredient in many face packs and body scrubs. In this article, we include some easy-to-prepare skin treatments that you can try from your home.

Note: Be careful while preparing these treatments. The mango skin is generally known to irritate the human skin. We advise you not to use the mango skin for that reason. We recommend using separate knives for scraping the skin and removing the pulp. If your skin feels itchy or reddish, please consult a dermatologist.
