The Taliban’s method of discipline has bared its fearsome fangs again. Fifteen Pakistani soldiers were handcuffed, made to endure a vicious warning speech by their to-be killers, and then shot in the back of their heads with AK-47 rifles by Taliban militia in Pakistan’s frontier province of Tank. A video released by Taliban sources warned that this would be the fate to befall all “infidel enemies” if the killing of Taliban “friends” is not halted. Pakistan have been under increasing international pressure to root out all terrorist training camps on its soil operated by the Taliban. Pakistani commanders, however, have refused to buckle under the threats. A commander was quoted as saying, “Our soldiers enlist because they want to sacrifice [their lives] for our country.”
